Jim founded Halley and Associates in 1994 and since that time he has delivered many individual and group training programmes and has established himself as a competent Business Coach and Mentor and has an excellent reputation throughout Ireland for successful outcomes across a wide selection of workplace settings.
As well as holding an Advanced Diploma in Mediation, he is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators (CIArb) and the International Mediators Institute (IMI). He is an elected member of the Board of CIArb and is the current Chairperson of its Mediation Committee. He has carried out over 380 separate mediations both nationally and internationally and over sixty formal statutory investigations in the context of allegations under the “Dignity at Work" and “Trust in Care” environments.
The majority of his work takes place in Public, Civil and Health Services environments. He is well known to both Trade Unions and employers alike. As a member of the International Bar Association, he is well respected by the legal profession.
He is a Member of the Irish Management Institute and is an associate member of the Institute of Public Administration where he lectures on the Mediation and Conflict Resolution/Intervention Studies course, certified by the Mediators Institute of Ireland (MII).
Jim has also studied in Trinity College, University College Dublin, Manchester University and with the Judicial Studies Board, UK.
